With no chance to progress to the final, Great Britain have a chance to finish with a win when they face USA in the final round-robin match. It will be a first meeting with the young pair, but in their short time on the tour, they have had differing fortunes over the past year.

There has been much improvement in Francis Tiafoe’s game – heavy serve, good returner, and an unorthodox looking forehand with heavy topspin. With a title under his belt this year, he has looked as though he has enjoyed every moment of being in this environment.

This is a decent match up for Cameron Norrie, who might not have quite the variety and experience of Tiafoe, but has made solid improvements of his own this year, and can only get better.

Prediction: Tiafoe in three sets.

Katie Boulter v Serena Williams | First Meeting

Assuming that Serena Williams is not too troubled by a shoulder niggle that she was seen prodding during the iconic mixed doubles with the Swiss, including Roger Federer. This is an amazing opportunity for the Katie Boulter and if Williams is slow to start, she could take an early advantage.

Of course Williams has experience in bucket-loads, but the experience alone of playing the greatest tennis player of all time (male or female) is not to be passed up – and while Boulter might have to try and keep Williams pinned at the back of the court and rely on her own power to stay toe-to-toe with the 23-time Slam champion, it is unlikely she will be able to pull off the surprise win.

Prediction: Williams in straight sets.
