Ryan Peniston & Mark Whitehouse teamed up for the ITF event in Spain and were seeded fourth. The Brits first round opponents were Pedro Araujo & Fabio Coelho. The Portuguese pair were totally out played in the first set, the Brits broke at will and took the set without dropping a game. The second set saw the Portuguese pair manage to break the Brits serve and level up the match. This forced a match tiebreak which the Brits took convincingly and moved into the quarter-final 6-0, 4-6, 10-5.

In the quarter-final the Brits were against another Portuguese pair Manuel Goncalves & Hugo Maia. Peniston & Whitehouse had little trouble in the first set and managed to break Goncalves & Maia. Once the Brits were in the lead they didn’t look back in the set. The second set was more of the same as the fourth seed broke again to take the match in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.

The semi-final saw the fourth seeds against the second seeds Mateus Alves & Igor Marcondes. The Brazilians were too powerful for the Brits in both sets. Alves & Marcondes dominated the match, as the Brits struggled to hold serve. Unfortunately the second seeds ultimately progressed through to the final 6-2, 6-1.
