BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA – Naiktha Bains & Destanee Aiava picked up the title in the ITF event. The pair only dropped one set en route.

Naiktha Bains teamed up with Australian Destanee Aiava and were the fourth seeds in the ITF event. In the first round the Brit/Australian pairing were up against Michika Ozeki & Erika Sema. The Japanese pair were outclassed by the fourth seeds, who dominated the match. The fourth seeds lost only one game to move into the quarter-final 6-1, 6-0.
The quarter-final saw the Brit/Australian pair against Tereza Mihalíková & Alexandra Osborne. The Slovak/Australian were a tougher test than the previous round. Staying toe to toe with the fourth seeds the Slovak/Australian pushed hard in both set. Ultimately it was Bains & Aiava who conquered in straight sets, not before a tiebreak which they totally dominated. The pair moved into the semi-final 7-5, 7-6(0).
In the semi-final Bains & Aiava were against Australian pair Alexandra Bozovic & Amber Marshall. The Brit/Australian found themselves in trouble in the first set. The Australian pair broke twice and took the set. However, the seeds re-grouped in the second. Bains & Aiava broke Bozovic & Marshall to level the match and force a match tiebreak. The tiebreak saw the seeds back on top form and progressed to the final 2-6, 6-3, 10-6.
The final saw the Brit/Australian against the top seeds Alison Bai & Paige Hourigan. Despite their higher ranking the Australian/Kiwi were unable to break serve of Bains & Aiava. The Brit/Australian sailed through the match and lifted the trophy in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.

Matthew Hingley with Alexandre Müller were defeated by Luke Johnson & Francisco Cabral in the first round in Portugal 6-0, 6-2.
Russell Henderson with Eduardo Lobo Da Rosa De Almeida were defeated by Alan Gleeson & Francis Pare in the first round in Portugal 2-6, 7-6(7), 10-4.
