SHREWSBURY, UK – Sarah Beth Grey & Olivia Nicholls teamed up for the ITF event in Shrewsbury and were seeded third. The Brits secured the title and took out the top seeds en route.

Sarah Beth Grey & Olivia Nicholls teamed up again at the ITF event in Shrewsbury and were the third seeds. The Brits first round opponents were Leonie Küng & Isabella Shinikova. The Swiss/Bulgarian pair were unable to stop the Brits from dominating the first set, struggling to hold serve and the Brits moved into the lead. The second set was a little closer, but Grey & Nicholls broke serve and moved into the quarter-finals 6-2, 6-4.

In the quarter-final the third seeds were up against Eden SilvaJulia Terzijska. The third seeds went toe to toe with Silva & Terzijska in the first set, forcing a tiebreak. The Brit/Bulgarian pair took the tiebreak and moved ahead. However, the seeds re-grouped in the next set to secure the break of serve required, levelling up the match. In the ensuing match tiebreak Grey & Nicholls edged ahead and moved into the semi-final 6-7(4), 6-4, 10-8.

The semi-final saw the Brits facing the top seeds Camilla RosatelloValeria Savinykh. The Italian/Russian stayed with the Brits and forced a tiebreak. Grey & Nicholls dominated the tiebreak losing only one point to move clear. The second set saw the third seeds continue their dominance with the Italian/Russian unable to hold serve. The Brits moved into the final 7-6(1), 6-0.

In the final the Brits were up against Tayisiya MordergerYana Morderger. The Germans got out to a flying start and dominated the first set, breaking at will. The Brits were unable to get a game on the board. The third seeds re-grouped in the second set and broke the Germans to level the match. In the deciding match tiebreak Grey & Nicholls flew out to a lead that was never in danger and lifted the title 0-6, 6-3, 10-4.

Anna Popescu with Marina Yudanov were defeated by Eden Silva & Julia Terzijska in the first round in Shrewsbury 6-1, 6-0.

Freya Christie with Diāna Marcinkēviča were defeated by Emily Appleton & Marie Benoît in the first round in Shrewsbury 7-6(4), 7-5.

Emily Appleton with Marie Benoît were defeated by Tayisiya Morderger & Yana Morderger in the semi-final in Shrewsbury 6-1, 4-6, 10-3.

Billy Harris & Neil Pauffley were defeated by Jirat NavasirisomboonChanchai Sookton-Eng in the first round in Thailand 6-3, 6-7(5), 10-7.

George Davies & Adam Jones were defeated by Francesco Ferrari & Michail Pervolarakis in the quarter-final in Greece 6-0, 6-2.

Alexis Canter with Jose Fco. Vidal Azorin were defeated by Marc Dijkhuizen & Bart Stevens in the first round in Kuwait 6-1, 6-2.

Jonathan Binding with Roy Sarut De Valk were defeated by Alec Adamson & Miles Seemann in the final in Kuwait 6-4, 7-6(5).

David Quayle with Kristjan Tamm were defeated by Luca CastelnuovoVasko Mladenov in the first round in Estonia 6-3, 6-4.

Joshua Paris with Denis Klok were defeated by Vladimir IvanovMaxim Ratniuk in the quarter-final in Estonia 6-4, 2-1 RET.
