Billy Harris entered the ITF event in Heraklion Greece and was unseeded. In the first round the Brit was drawn against Jaime Angele. The Frenchman got the jump on the Brit in the first set and broke serve to take the lead. Harris stayed with the Angele in the second set and forced a tiebreak, the Brit took the lead in the breaker and levelled up the match. In the final set Harris dominated and broke twice to seal the win and the spot in the next match 4-6, 7-6(3), 6-2.

The second round saw the Brit against Alibek Kachmazov. The first set was back and forth with both players not giving an inch. Staying toe-to-toe a tiebreak ensued. The Russian took the lead in the breaker and didn’t look back. Harris re-grouped in the second set and totally dominated, Kachmazov was barely able to get a game on the board. The Brit seemed to break at will, moving into the quarter-final 6-7(3), 6-1, 6-1.

In the quarter-final Harris was against the Italian qualifier Mattia Bellucci. The first set was fairly tight, however it was the qualifier who took the lead breaking the Brit. Harris had to re-group for the second set, fighting hard the Brit broke Bellucci and levelled up the match. The final set was even tighter, with a tiebreak looking likely. The Brit however, kept cool and broke the Italian right at the end to move into the semi-final 4-6, 6-4, 7-5.

The semi-final saw Harris up against the second seed Zizou Bergs. The Belgian broke in the first set and the Brit was unable to get back on serve. However, Harris fought back and got the break in the second and levelled up. The Brit was 5-2 up when play was suspended. Unfortunately, on the re-start the seed found their groove again and forced the set into a breaker. Bergs edged the tiebreak to end the fine run of Harris 3-6, 6-3, 6-7(7).
