Tennis | British Elite Tennis marches forward | Latest Information for Murray’s Battle of the Brits

  • Andy Murray heads up his brother Jamie’s Battle of the Brits Tournament
  • Other events include the LTA British Tour (Women & Men) and the Progress Tour Championships (Women)
LONDON, UK – British Elite Tennis is on its way back after Schroder’s Battle of the Brits draw sees Andy and Jamie Murray back in action.

Schroder’s Battle of the Brits

On Friday the draw was made for the Battle of the Brits featuring top British male players.

The tournament will take place at the LTA’s National Tennis Centre in Roehampton from 23-28 June and will be played in a round robin format with the winners and runners-up from the groups advancing to semi-finals and finals across both formats.

Progress Tour Women’s Championships

British No. 3 Harriet Dart will head up another chance for Britain’s top women to compete, following the announcement of a new £30,000 Progress Tour Women’s Championship, due to be held at the NTC between 14-18 July.

Dart, together with Naomi Broady, Samantha Murray, Jodie Burrage and Emma Raducanu are already signed up with more players due to join the singles and doubles line-up.

Dart said, in the LTA’s announcement: “I’m so excited to compete again. It’s great that the Progress Tour Women’s Championships is giving the British women a chance to play matches and restart our careers in a way which is going to be safe for us and everyone involved.”

Both events will run alongside a number of further domestic events during July
