MIAMI, USA – Andy Murray has pulled out of the Miami Open, and defending champion Novak Djokovic is also uncertain after being troubled with an elbow injury in Indian Wells

Two-time Miami Open Andy Murray has pulled out of the Miami Open, and Novak Djokovic may be another casualty having had a medical consultation after being troubled with an elbow injury during Indian Wells. The Miami Tournament, which is another ten day, mixed event straight after Indian wells had earlier been rocked by the news that Serena Williams had withdrawn knee injuries.
The Miami Open released a statement on Saturday from Murray:

Earlier in the day, Carole Bouchard had broken the news about the possibility of defending champion Djokovic maybe having to withdraw himself. He lost in the third round of Indian Wells where he was also defending his title, to Nick Kyrgios.
Breaking : Djokovic doubtful for Miami. Went back to Monaco to consult doctor for right elbow injury that hampered him through Indian Wells.

For both players now the clay court season is vital. Djokovic is defending the Madrid Masters and French Open titles, and the Rome Final, while Murray gained ground in the Monte Carlo Masters semi-final, Madrid and French Open finals and won the Rome Masters.
